"Proud Richard’s is my favorite restaurant. Just a
short ride from Springfield, lL to go get a delicious meal with great service. The menu changes with the seasons and I have favorites on each one. Tonight my friend and I ordered my summer menu favorite: Chicken piccata. Made with locally grown chicken, using thighs that are perfectly seasoned and added to a delightful lemon sauce with capers. It is so good! My husband tried the pork schnitzel, with spatzel. He said it was delicious. We were so full, but how do you pass up homemade key lime pie, peach parfait (roasted peaches with mascarpone cream), and the best skillet cookie I have ever eaten! We shared a bite or two of each…and brought leftovers home. Chef Joe Standley is a young chef that definitely knows how to prepare only the best meals, and a cooking staff that makes him proud. The servers are delightful and do everything to make sure you are well taken care of. Make a point to add it to your restaurant list. It is definitely worth the trip!😋"
